Frequently Asked Questions

Our first conversation will occur on the phone. This fifteen minute conversation is our initial introduction to one another, during which we will discuss little about your concerns, answer questions and mutually decide whether to schedule a first appointment to determine the best course of action for treatment.

During this intake appointment, you can share your reasons for seeking therapy and I will ask questions to better understand your current symptoms,  situation, and the ways your overall well being is impacted. We will work together to  customize your treatment plan to your individual needs.

Length of treatment is unique to each client. For therapy to be most effective, you must be an active participant during and in between sessions.

Typically sessions are 50 minutes, once a week, but the frequency can be adjusted. I encourage consistent, weekly sessions particularly in the early stages of therapy. However, some clients prefer to meet more or less depending on needs. We can discuss what would work best for you.

I am currently in network with Aetna, Optum, United Healthcare.
